Arlene and Darlene. Three more to go!

Hello there.

Long time since the last update, I know. Life got in the way. Damn life, always being a burden to the really important stuff!

Anyhow. Today I'm showing another 2 zombies. Let's start with Arlene:

I'm not gonna lie, out of every zombie this one is probably my favorite one. She does actually look quite frightening and her wounds go beyond her face, now covering her neck and almost her chest. TFP really threw the budget out of the window in this one!

Anyways, since I think she looks actually not that bad I didn't make a lot of changed to her textures, but I still added some things. Here I present them to you:

From the get-go, it doesn't look like I added much, but wait till I show you every angle. In this shot you can see I added blood to her hands, blood splatters on her dress and more blood to her mouth and neck injury.

In this one you can see I gave her a nice wound to her back.

As you've probably noticed, she has some nice putrifaction going on in her legs and arms. Here's a closer look (Decided to turn off the light in the 1st one, because it's just too shiny sometimes and some details get lost):

She also has a new blood-leaking injury just under her right arm, as you can see in the previous pics.

Last but not least, some blood coming out of her ear.

Now let's go with Darlene. Here's how she looks in the game:

I kinda want some zombies to not be as bloody as some others, that way we get the feeling that some zombies are more fresh than others. Therefore, Darlene is more of a fresher one, but I gotta say her wounds are plain disgusting. Take a look:

Ok, maybe she's not *that* fresh, but still. I added a really disgusting but nice-looking wound to her cheek as well as a big chunk of missing flesh on her throat, as if some zombie had bitten it off. She's also now bleeding from her nose and has more blood on her head wound.

And of course, some blood on her hands.

Closer look:

Well, here they are. Only three more to go! The screamer, business man and soldier.

I hope you like it!

Small update. Improving!

Hello there.

I'm just going to do a small update, since the remaining zombies are still being worked on and they might take a little more. However, I'm pretty happy by how the wound effects are turning out. I think I'm improving in the way I'm making them.

Here's a sneak peak:

Anyhow, this is all for now. I'll post Arlene shortly. Stay tuned! and as always, feedback is really appreciated.

I hope you like it!

Zombie Joe and Stripper (Warning: Nudity ahead)

Hello there.

Time for another 2x1 entry. Today we have zombie Joe and the zombie stripper, so hold on tight!

Let's start with Joe. Here's the one we have:

Well... ok. I like the skin color, I'll give them that. His face and his missing eye are looking good and the blood stains have improved a tiny bit, but it's still not enough.

So far, I think this unknown zombie virus should be called the "face melting syndrome", cause so far the only thing with decayed skin and wounds are the zombie's faces. Let's fix that.

Here's my version:

There you go, now we're talking. Zombies like to eat guts, so this guy seems like he had it rough in his last minutes with those guts falling off and leaking blood everywhere. Also the classical bloody hands, yes.

As you can see in this image, I added more blood dripping down and contrast to his wound and his mouth as well as a small slash under his left ear. I also added blood splatters on his shirt and some blood leaking from his ear, kinda like the "Planet of the apes" movie when the simian flu infects everybody and they start bleeding from every hole known in the human body:

I also added signs of decaying to his arms and his legs:

Last but not least, some small injuries in the back of his head:

Well, there you have him.

Now for the moment you've all been waiting for. The walking controversy. I'll leave this here just in case:

PLEASE BE ADVICED. THE FOLLOWING PRESENTATION HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY.

IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH THE MANAGER AND WE WILL GET BACK TO YOU.

There. Let's begin. Here's the original:

She has the same problems as zombie Steve. A lot of unprotected skin that has nothing but a lame green-ish colour. The blood stain on her... ehem... chest is so weird looking that it just looks like one of her tattoos. We gotta fix that:

There she is. Now it does look like actual blood.

From this angle you can see her bloody hands, her leg injury with more contrast and saturation, a slash wound on her arm and her side wound bleeding:

Now, in this one below you can see her improved wound on her arm, small slashes on her stomach and a deep open wound on the left side of her chest. She was lying down, probably at the moment of her death, when the blood from it started dripping towards her back. Then she "came back" and got up, thus the blood started dripping down her body.

Clever, huh... ?

Here's a pic of her back, with some more signs of decay and rashes:

And last but not least, her beautiful face:

She has a patch of missing skin on her cheek, blood on her mouth, a wound on her neck (bite wound?) and a wound on her right eyebrow.

Well, with that out of the way we still have Darlene, Arlene and 3 more zombies that I will be finishing up this week, then the release of the mod. Stay tuned!

I hope you like it!

Nostalgia update 2: Zombie steve (and removed nurse teeth)

Hello there.

The objetcive of this entry is to bring back old memories again, much like the one with zombie Yo. Today, I bring zombie Steve. Probably one of the most laskluster zombies of them all.

Here he is:

You got all that exposed skin and what do you do? You tear his lips apart, make his skin blue/green-ish, add veins and go back to sleep! Unacceptable! I tell you.

Just like in the zombie Yo update, I want to talk about this guy:

His name was "The naked walker". He was pretty cool looking with his torn mouth and his chest ripped right open with all of his ribs showing. I remember killing him, looting his corpse, getting a wooden stick (back when that was a thing) and ask myself "Mhh... wonder where he was keeping that..."

So today I want to make this guy the star of this entry, cause zombie Steve is gonna rock his style from now on:

Oh yeah. Look at that chest and all the blood dripping down from it. Much better than before, if you ask me. I also reduced the amount of green/blue-ish contrast of his skin so he doesn't look like an alien anymore.
As you can see, I also added lots of blood to his hands. Seems like he's pretty brutal with his victims.

This is also very appropriate, because zombie Steve also portrays the role of the crawling zombie in the game. Now we know why his chest is all torn apart.

I also added a small ripping to his side, so his ribs can be seen from behind. As you can see, his skin is also more detailed with more decay and signs of putrification:

I also added more blood to his mouth wound and a big gash on his right eye.

Last but not least, a big wound with some mucle tissue showing on his neck:

New zombie Steve bringing old memories back!

On another note, a lot of you guys have told me that the teeth I added to the nurse don't look right, and I completely agree. Therefore, I decided to remove the teeth and leave her mask as it is, cause due to the nature of the model whatever type of teeth I add to that mask will look weird.

This is how she looks now:

Welp, that's it for now. Remember that feedback is really appreciated.

I hope you like it!

New Marlene zombie and radiated ferals!

Hello there.

Today, I share with your another 2 zombies! Marlene the clean one and the zombie glowstick.

Here's Marlene as she looks in the game:

I realised the devs like to add details and such to the head and faces of the zombies only, they leave the body completely empty aside from some veins and a green/blue-ish color.

Anyhow, I made some changes to her model. I didn't put too many things cause I also don't want every single zombie to be all bloodied up and rotten, I want some of them to feel more fresh than others, yet I can tell you that for me this one stands a lot.

Let's start with her beautiful face:

As you can see, I added a big wound to her left-side cheek with some of her teeth showing. I like the way the muscle tissue turned out. I also added more blood to her eye wound and her mouth.

Now down to her body:

I added a wound to her upper chest area, leaving her clavicle out in the open. I also added a small wound next to it. Her hands are all bloodied up too, of course.

I added a big wound to her stomach as well. Kinda looks like a shotgun gunshot wound.

Last but not least, her legs:

Not many of my other zombies have many injuries in their legs. This is where Marlene comes in, with quite a few injuries in both her legs.

So there you have Marlene. I liked how she turned out.

Now onto the new radiated zombies.

I ain't gonna say anything, let it speak for itself:

Wha... uhmm... huh...

Yeah, you get the point. Too glowy, too green, too "over the top". Many members from the forums and I have talked about it in a thread, we all agree they needed some tuning.

I made different edits and versions, some even without the green radioation smoke thing around the body.

Here are some of the attempts:

Most people on the forums liked the one to the right the most, so the final profuct is this:

That's it for now, I hope you like it!

New proffesional nurse

Hello there.

So, as some of you know, some people don't like the way the nurse zombie looks because they think she looks more like a stripper or a girl with one of those sexy nurse halloween costumes than an actual nurse. I have nothing against nudity and all that, but I agree that the nurse we currently have does not look like a real nurse.

Here she is:

So, obviously this isn't the way that nurses dress in real life, otherwise there would be a lot more heart attacks at hospitals. Also, something that has bothered me since Alpha 1 was her mask. How in God's name does she eat her victims with that mask??

So I made some adjustments and made her look more "proffesional" by covering her cleavage and shoulders, made her way more bloody, made her skin more decayed and also added a ripping in her mask with her mouth showing:

Trust me, whenever I see her from the distance I no longer think her outfit looks silly, but rather disturbing, especially at night.

Anyhow, there she is. I hope you like her!

One last thing:

So, as you might know, the devs added a new fur system for animals in A16. I think it looks cool, but not on the zombie dog, mainly because his face looked completely swollen and my textures looked bad on him with his fur all over the place. That's why I didn't add many pics of him in my 2nd entry.

However, I managed to remove his fur and now I can show you what I wanted to show before.

Look at that. That thing is evil! You might have noticed how one of his eyes is completely white while the other one is still somewhat functional. It's the little things.

That's it for now. I hope you like it!

Double trouble (Burnt zed + zombie yo) and good news!

Hello there!

Sorry for the delay, but I had trouble yesterday. Seems like the roads were cut off...

Anyhow, let's get going. Today I got 2 zombies to show you, because they're probably the most known out of all my retextured zombies. That plus some very good news! But I'll leave that for last.

This will be what I like to call the "nostalgia entry" because it's all about bringing old friends back. So let's talk about the burnt zombie. This one caught my eye the moment he got reworked. He used to look like this:

Now, to be honest, I actually really liked the way he looked back then. He has his charred skin, with red patches of clotted blood not completely burnt yet showing as well and his burnt clothes; but then, it changed to this:

Many people named it the "lava demon" for obvious reasons. The devs listened and changed him once again:

Better, but not enough; and certainly not in the ground of the 1st one. I decided to get the texture of the old burnt zombie and get him back completely, here's the result:

Much better in my opinion. Charred skin, burnt clothes, no over-the-top lava glow.
You can see I added red patches of clotted blood as well all over his body and his head:

And to top it all, I also kept some unburnt skin on the top of his head, like the old one used to have:

Disgusting, right? Well, you should check our friend zombie Yo then. This is how he looks in the game:

Again, the same thing. Clean clothers, clean hands, clean skin. Big gap on his head, though, that looks nice. So with this zombie I wanted to bring some old feelings back too, I figured that little to no zombies show bones in the game while the old ones were the complete opposite. Look at these guys:

Exactly. Really cool looking. I want more zombies to look like this, and I decided to start with Yo:

I really like how it turned out. Rib cage showing with blood coming down from it as well as his spine showing through his shirt on his back side, exactly like one of the old zombies from previous alphas.

I also added more blood to his head wound and more injuries. You can see his lip is completely messed up and blood comes out of it. There's also blood coming down from his ears, cause I figured it would look kinda cool.

Well, that's it for now. Before you go, though; I got some really good news today! Recently I managed to get into the game's block files. This means I can finally work on some block texture replacements as well!!

Tell me what you would like to see in regards of this, and it might happen. I'm really interested in hearing you guys's thoughts.

I hope you like it!
